Ishika Ghosh
Hi, welcome to my homepage!
I am a third-year PhD student in the Dept of CMSE, MSU advised by Prof Elizabeth Munch. Prior to moving to the United States, I spent a year as an intern at IST Austria, working with the research group of Prof Herbert Edelsbrunner. I graduated from IISER Tirupati with a BSMS in Mathematics (with distinction) in 2022.
My research focus lies in exploring topology from a computational perspective. I am exploring the hidden patterns and relationships within datasets, contributing to the advancement of data analysis techniques. My current research involves studying graph-based topological signatures.
Outside of academia, I interact with the world through my camera lens and literature.
Announcements:
June 2024: I presented my ongoing work on the computation of interleaving distance on mapper graphs in the Young Researcher Forum at CGWeek 2024, held in Athens, Greece.
April 2024: Our paper on homotopy reconstruction was accepted to the Symposium of Computational Geometry 2024, held in Athens, Greece.
August 2023: I got selected to participate in MSU Cloud Computing Fellowship 2023-24.
